Recess Pody Cast Starring Recess Japan!

When teenage buddies Billy (Hal Ba Dal) and Stan (Todd Congelliere) are falsely accused of croaking a convenience-store clerk in a backwoods Southern town, Billy calls on his Noo Yawk cousin Vinny (The Boodge), a fast-talking personal injury lawyer who’s never tried a case. Vinny’s crass demeanor lands him in hot water with the judge, but the lippy Brooklyn barrister has a few tricks up his sleeve. Oscar winner John “Tito” Hagler plays his gal pal.

Recess Japan Lives!!!

Arigato!Arigato! I am very excited to announce some actual Recess Japan releases! Well, to be fair, they are the result of Jin & Fumi’s blood and sweat via their label Underground Government. My original idea for Recess Japan was to just put out Japanese bands (Mainly via downloads)so that my US compadres might wanna check em out. Didnt really pan out that way as there are now physical releases with the fresh RJ logo on em. PLUS theres a band that live 4 hours away from San Pedro on the label! It dont always work out the way you want it but i love it like that. let us go:

Ok Ok i know. These dudes are not Japanese nor are they from Japan. I’m pretty sure they wanna go or already have been but thats besides the point. Jin & Fumi loved Civic Minded 5 and this band has Clay and Jason from CM5 so that might explain things. Does it? Fuck it, they are on Recess Japan and they arent from Japan so there!

No People & Belly Button invade USA!

Our favorite Japanese people,No People & Belly Button, are coming to this mess of America! Maybe they can bail us out???

PLEASE SUPPORT THESE BANDS!!!

Hey what’s up?

konichiwa! Welcome to Recess Japan! The whole idea for Recess Japan was to offer downloads only of the many great bands that we have crossed paths with while touring Japan. But the label , Underground Government , ended up putting The Underground Railroad to Candyland – Bird Roughs CD/DVD out in Japan with the Recess Japan logo on it. So we might as well try to get some physical media out too here & there. Still, the focus remains on downloads (mainly from the Underground Government catalog) cos it’s financially easier to get some attention onto these great bands. We are working right now on getting everything up but in the meantime please check out the bands links to the right and/or buy some cd’s that UG has put out. You can buy em direct from the label or from Recess Records (under the “other labels” page).
